Bruce has over 22 years of trial practice in Michigan
State and Federal Courts in the areas of general civil liability,
including commercial, contract, tort claims, personal injury
and governmental litigation. He has represented a wide variety
of public and private sector clients in products, premises,
personal injury and general liability matters. Bruce has
tried cases in Circuit Courts throughout Western Michigan,
and in federal district court for the Western District of
Michigan. He also has appellate experience, having argued cases
in both the federal and Michigan Courts of Appeal.
Bruce also focuses his practice efforts on legal issues in public health including the legal ramifcations of bio-terrorism and pandemic flu. Specifically, he is well versed in the reach of EMTALA, HIPAA, state laws, and public response plans in dealing with public disasters.
