Thomas R. Reinsma
Tom concentrates his practice on estate planning, decedent’s estates, and elder law, with a particular emphasis on the legal and financial needs of senior citizens and their families. He assists clients with thoughtful planning strategies designed to protect assets, address long‑term care needs, and ensure an orderly transfer of wealth.
Tom has extensive experience advising clients on wills, trusts, probate, estate administration, and elder law matters. He is known for his practical approach to complex planning issues and for helping individuals and families navigate the intersection of estate planning, aging, and financial decision‑making with clarity and confidence.
In addition to his legal practice, Tom is the author of a Wills and Estates Form Book and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Aquinas College and Central Michigan University, reflecting his long‑standing commitment to education and the estate planning profession.

Tom has been happily married to Gretchen, an elementary reading teacher, since 1964. They have two children and four grandchildren. Tom is an avid sailor who completed a trip by sailboat to the East Coast and the Chesapeake Bay in 2002.
