Matthew C. VanHoef
Matt has focused his practice on environmental law since the 1980s, counseling clients on environmental issues within an ever‑changing regulatory landscape. He advises businesses, developers, and property owners on matters involving brownfield redevelopment, real estate transactions, liability protection, and environmental contamination claims.
Matt also specializes in the regulatory and legal aspects of municipal wastewater treatment and public utilities. He regularly advises municipal entities on compliance and operational issues and represents several regional sewer authorities, including the Grand Haven–Spring Lake Sewer Authority, North Kent Sewer Authority, and GRSD Sewer Authority.
Matt is valued for his depth of experience and sound judgment, helping clients navigate complex environmental and regulatory matters with confidence.
